The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), in alliance with the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have embarked on a protest to the Presidential Villa.
In his report, Dyepkazah Shibayan of thecable.ng, writing on this issue, enshrined that Ayuba Wabba, the NLC President, in addressing the protesters before commencing the march, said that it is “criminal” for government not to pay salary and pensions. He further said that the demand for an increase in minimum wage for workers “is non-negotiable.” Speaking further he said,“There is absence of good governance, with that absent, we are at the receiving end. So we march for good governance,”
