If you had ever thought of becoming a Digital Entrepreneur, then, this blog post, “Digital Entrepreneurship: How To Become A Digital Entrepreneur” is for you. Kindly read it to the end and take appropriate action afterwards.
Thinking through without starting small is dying in gross lack. No matter how gigantic your vision might be, until you take the first step, it cannot work.
Most often, this is the minutest step you can ever take. But, when your first step is the biggest step, then something is wrong.
A journey of a thousand miles starts with a step. Take that first step and God will manifest Himself mightily.
The reason why you have not yet achieved that goal of yours is because you have been waiting for the perfect time.
There is no perfect time. Now is the time! Step out into the seeming uncertainty otherwise you cannot achieve that vision.
When you take that seeming small step, God goes before you and makes all the crooked ways straight (Isaiah 45:2).
Many people are deceived into thinking that they must start big to make it big…They consider what they have, where they are or what they are as too small to achieve what they want (Abioye; 2009: 21)
As Long As The vision Is Clear, You Will Achieve It. However, These Four Questions Will Help You Determine The Clarity Of The vision:
What is the vision all about?
Where am I going to establish the vision?
How am I going to do it?
When is the takeoff time?
These four questions, if graciously answered, will guarantee your understanding of your vision.
Have you answered these four questions? Then, step out into the seeming unknown world and dominate your world!
God told Abraham, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land I will show thee…’ (Genesis 12:1). And Abraham stepped out into the unseen and uncertain world (Genesis 12:4).
It takes guts to step out of your comfort zone into an uncomfortable zone. You do not need to go to Abuja, Abidjan or London to make it, all you need do is to locate the place of your purpose and dwell there.
What you are looking for abroad is inbroad. Stop looking! Give thoughts to environmental, financial, economical, sociological and spiritual factors to determine when to step out!
Hear this: life has never given anybody a fair chance for survival. There must be a reason or the other why things might not go well with you. It is either you are very pretty or handsome but you were born into a poor family, that can neither feed you nor train you in school or you are born with one infirmity or disability or the other. In every man’s land there are giants!
Life cannot be perfect. If it were perfect, there would not have been any reason to create man as a creator of things.
It might be that you are resident in a place where the government of the nation or state is empty-handed and empty-headed and knows next to nothing about their expectations and responsibilities. Or, your father might have abandoned you and made you a seeming orphan.
Check it; there must be one reason or the other why things seem not to be okay. But, you need to take a chance.
Blaming others, for your failure makes you lame
Those who blame others become lame in life. Until you stop giving excuses and start taking responsibilities, you are not permitted to make it through life. Take responsibility for your life today!
God has settled your challenges and problems many years ago, through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 19:30). Never give excuses for non-performance; otherwise you will end up in the pit of life. Never celebrate excuses!
Be determined to step out into action and achieve results. Despise not your days of little beginning. Just take a practical step and soonest the world will celebrate you.
Today, the world celebrate Mark Zukerberg of FACEBOOK who is worth over $170bn (One hundred and seventy billion dollars) having over nine hundred million members on its website database of customers. But, do you know that this ‘‘receivement’’ started with a step? He learnt and started programming and today, he has programmed his way to an unending wealth.
What do I say about Bishop David O. Oyedepo, who started ministry barely thirty three years ago, in a table tennis board, and today is the richest Pastor in Nigeria, Africa and the world?
Have you not heard the story of a woman who owns an incorporation that specializes on frying and distributing ‘Akara’ (beans ball)?
All it takes is the determination to step out first, and then God steps in. Fortunately, God will always go before us to make all the crooked ways straight. He will always go before you when you step out to venture into that business!
The richest country in the world is the grave yard. That is exactly where unprocessed potentials are buried and wasted. Imagine the population of the people on earth who die ‘full’ instead of ‘empty’ on a daily basis? It is not that majority of them did not discover their potentials while on earth, but they were afraid to unhold their comfort zones and hold unto the seeming uncomfortable zone.
That is why a lot of civil servants are afraid of becoming entrepreneurs. Even when they do, they often times end up in bankruptcy.
Until you step out, nothing good steps into your purse (pocket). Stop praying amiss: saying that ‘you’re waiting for God’s time’. God may be the One waiting for you to wake up from slumber. If not, why did He inspire the writing of Proverbs 6:6-11? Hear this:
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways and be wise; which having no guide, overseer or ruler, provides her meat in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, o sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep; so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
Until you step out, nothing works. Have a big dream, split it into smaller units (phases), take the first small step and soonest the world will celebrate you. This is sure to happen! I guarantee it by the revelation of the Word of God that inspired me to write this teaching.
Someone noted that starting your business should be an easy task but for most people, it is not. It is their worst nightmares!
NO EXCUSE!
Many pseudo-entrepreneurs give excuses for non-performance and gross failures in their business endeavours simply because they do not know the way to becoming successful in entrepreneurship.
There is simply no reason under heaven that is logical enough to justify you for failing in business or living without establishing one, except the clutches of ignorance, laziness, fear and lack of discipline, among other related factors clogging the wheel of entrepreneurship locally and globally.
A long while ago, a great warrior faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision which insured his success on the battlefield. He was about to send his armies against a powerful foe, whose men outnumbered his own.
He loaded his soldiers into boats, sailed to the enemy’s country, unloaded soldiers and equipment, and then gave the order to burn the ships that had carried them.
Addressing his men before the first battle, he said, “You see the boats going up in smoke. That means that we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win. We now have no choice – we win- or we perish!
Alas they won.
Hear this: Every person who must win in any undertaking must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat. Only by so doing can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win.
There was famine in the time of Abraham (Genesis 12:10), yet Abraham became very wealthy (Genesis 13:2). There was famine in the time of Isaac, yet he waxed great and became very rich (Genesis 26: 1-12). Jacob was cheated severally (Genesis 31: 7), yet he prospered (Genesis 31:9). Joseph saw hell, yet he rose from prison to the palace (Genesis 39 – 41). Even Esau was not blessed, yet he prospered (Genesis 33:9).
Money failure in the world is not new; but, principles have always made people prosperous (Genesis 41: 56 – 57; Genesis 47: 15 – 27). What is your excuse?

What Is Your Excuse For Not Starting Your Business? Think Twice!
May it never be counted against you at the judgment day that “You came to the earth, saw challenges and problems, did nothing and left”.
You are born to solve a specific problem (s). The problem (s) you solve determine your manifestation and dominion on earth. Until you solve problem (s), you have no relevance in this planet earth. Problems are promoters of destinies. It is the problem you solve that determines your class on earth.
It was the eruption of a need that ignited the passion and action for your birth. You were created to solve a particular problem; locate the problem, solve it, create a copyrighted product out of your solution, mass produce and commercialize it, and make money till eternity. Failing to accomplish this Assignment is dying casually and unfulfilled.
In fact, the realities of life reveal that famine precedes boom. Failures precede success. Problems beget profits. Challenges attract wages. There is none without the other.
Thus, whenever you see famine, just thank God because the next phase is plenty. This is beyond economic forecast; it is the Scripture in operation!
In today’s world, you do not need any long-bearded prophet to tell you that there is a chronic economic melt-down in the world. COVID-19 global pandemic has just created a New Economy…A New Normal.
Countries around the world have shut down their economies. Retail stores, bars, beer parlours, hotels, restaurants, gyms, airlines and many other industries have completely turned off. The global stock markets have crashed. Oil prices have plummeted. People are not flying anymore.
In addition, prices are consistently skyrocketing, goods become unaffordable. People go hungry and some take to begging, many are falling sick and dying casually, companies are fast crumbling and leaving the country, children are fast taking to corruption and related menace in other to survive.
See how Lurn, Inc in their book, The New Economy…How Completely New Entrepreneurs Are Partnering With Google To Build 5-Figure A Day Businesses… (2020:5-7) puts it,
None of us have experienced an economy like this; it’s looking even worse than the financial crisis of 2007 – 2008.
As a result, businesses owners are facing incredible challenges, and many people have been left without work through no fault of their own. Although governments are doing what they can to stop the bleeding, the reality is that they can’t fix everything.
While it’s been devastating on many levels, it’s also an opportunity for entrepreneurs.
The way consumers interact with businesses and purchase products has changed, and it’s up to entrepreneurs to figure out creative ways to meet this new demand.
Who will bail out the world? Who has the solution? You! You have the solution to this dying world! You were born for this purpose – to solve the world’s major problems! You do not need to complain, murmur or join the statistics of failures on earth. Take practical steps to starting your business. And you will be glad you did!
The business people of today should be able to create and run businesses which give them…time freedom, geographical freedom and financial freedom, otherwise they will struggle forever without getting tangible results.
Lack of freedom in terms of time, geography and finance, is the major reason many businesses fail today. This account to the reason most businesses fail even before starting.
Of a truth Digital Entrepreneurship is the solution to any dying world, anywhere, anytime! But, the digital entrepreneurial journey would not be that easy without adequate illumination. Stop looking for cheap comfort! Leave your comfort zone and embrace the seeming unknown and fearful world of entrepreneurship!
Robert T. Kiyosaki, one of my major Personal Finance Mentors, also disclosed a mind-blowing statistics in his book, “Why The Rich Are Getting Richer” (2017) when he posited:
Globalization meant an end to high-paying jobs for blue-collar workers. Jobs moved to China, India, Mexico…
The rise of robots will mean the end of high-paying jobs for white-collar workers.
Today, if jobs are not moving overseas, robots and artificial intelligence are replacing workers. Even highly educated doctors, lawyers, and accountants are in the crosshairs of robots.
…And Foxconn, Apple’s primary manufacturer, just announced it is ordering one million robots-to replace three million workers….
Robots do not need paychecks or raises, they work longer, do not need vacations, time-off, medical benefits, or a retirement plan….
Looking at the above statistics, you will understand that soonest more employed persons today would be retrenched, better still, fired. Why? It is because robots (Artificial humans) and artificial intelligence devices like websites, blogs, social media, mobile apps, among others would replace most of the jobs done by most workers. Thus, only few workers would be needed to control and monitor the activities of these artificial beings which in turn execute the necessary operations for the owners of the businesses.
Would you be the one who owns the robot or would you be the one whose job the robot took over? The answer is up to you!
Your condition is a function of your decision. Your decision determines your planning, programming and manifestation.
Let Not Your Fate Be Like That Of This Elderly Man Whose Story I Once Read From a Book. Have a Glimpse Of The Story…
An elderly man who was lying in a hospital bed, clinging to life and approaching his final moments, during one of those rare occasions when he was conscious and alert, noticed his wife of fifty seven (57) years sitting in the chair beside his bed, he mustered enough strength to whisper to her.
“Honey”, he said, “Can you come closer?”
His wife got up from her seat and leaned over his face, placing her ear close to his mouth so she could hear what might be his final words.
“You know,” he said, “You were there with me when the house burned down.”
“I know, Sweetheart,” she said. “I know”
“And you were there with me when I lost it all and we had to start over”
“I remember, Darling,” She replied.
Then, he motioned to her to come a little closer. As she leaned even closer into his body so she could discern his words, he said, “You know, Baby Doll, you’re bad luck.”
It is not that the woman is bad luck. The truth is that the man did not prepare for the future.
Now, hear this: “The future you do not prepare for will get you confused you when you get there” You can never become prosperous as long as you continue to blame someone else or something else for your plight in life. You are the one who ate junk food and became fat. You are the one who did not say “No” when you should have. You are the one who took that job you do not like. Even when you realized that it was the wrong place to be, you are the one who still kept the job. You refused to follow your instinct. You are the one who created the thoughts that led to your actions. You are the one who formed the feelings that led to your thoughts. That is why you are where you are.
If you want to change where you are in life today for a better place, you have to stop blaming people and circumstances. You have to take a long, hard look at yourself. This is because, there is only one person responsible for the outcome of your life and the quality of your life; and that person is YOU.
To Be Successful In Business, You Have To Take Responsibility For Your Actions And In-Actions
God is not our problems. He has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness. Satan is not the problem; for there is no power anywhere but of God. You are your problem.
It is either you do not know what to do or you are too lazy to do what you know. The former is the problem of IGNORANCE. And the latter is the problem of LAZINESS.
The Holy Book (The Bible) said:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, and thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (Hosea 4:6)
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. (Psalms 82:5)
Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. (Isaiah 5:13)
Take responsibility over every facet of your life: your achievements, your productivity, your results, your relationships, your health, your income, your debt, your feelings, everything!
If you are without any real business and struggling, you created it by your past decisions. Likewise, you can also create the future by making insightful decisions today.
Your condition today is a direct function of your decisions yesterday. Go for knowledge vis-a-vis Digital Entrepreneurship!
Adequate insight will always culminate into a productive lifestyle. Illumination through adequate knowledge attracts a result-proof action.
It takes wisdom to win the battles of life and Digital Entrepreneurship. It takes insight to make impact. The depth of your understanding in any field determines the height of your accomplishment in that field.
